IP7142 Bullet External Network Camera, VIVOTEK

Overview

Vivotek IP7142 professional bullet camera features an outdoor dust and weather proof housing (IP66 rating), build-in IR illuminator and is PoE ready.  It has a 3.3-12mm Varifocal Lens, IR-Cut Filter for true colours and great night time performance. Revolutionary is also the new Wide Dynamic Range CMOS sensor with WVGA resolution (720x480px). WDR type sensors are characterized by extreme dynamic range, cameras with the WDR sensors are thus able to cope with challenging lighting conditions - eg. room with many bright windows, surveillance of entrance door with a very bright conditions outside etc. Cameras featuring WDR sensor can observe scenes with both very bright and dark parts. We should also notice this is the first VIVOTEK camera that offers secure HTTPS streaming!

Built in web server enables remote access via LAN or Internet. Vivotek IP cameras can be monitored from any place in the world using Internet browser. This camera is very interesting because it supports RTSP streaming protocols that allows you to see the live video using your mobile phone or using Linux MPlayer! Very important is also ability to stream two independent streams in different compressions and/or resolutions (Dual Codec, Dual Stream).

IP7142 has attractive design and is suitable for outdoor surveillance. This camera model is also very attractive for its Power Over Ethernet (POE 802.3af) support, built-in Input/Output and RS-485 interface.

This camera is an ideal partner for Vivotek's 9 Channel Network Video Recorder the NR7401 as it is able to use the recorders Power over Ethernet ( PoE) facility, eliminating the need for separate camera power supplies. It is also compatible with Koukaam IPCorders enabling you to use and record this camera with a MAC computer or a PC
